On Oct. 11, local Catholics gathered at Saint Ann Catholic Church in Salt Lake City to join the national Public Square Rosary Crusade, which is held annually on the Saturday closest to Oct. 13, the feast of the last apparition of Our Lady of Fatima. During the rosary crusade, participants pray for the right to keep God in the public square. At Saint Ann Church, Monsignor Michael Winterer blessed the participants and led the recitation of the last decade of the rosary. In honor of Our Lady, organizers placed roses and other flowers on a table along with a statue of Our Lady of Fatima; they also displayed framed pictures of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Our Lady of Medjugorje.
