Madeleine Award presented

The 2011 Madeleine Award, given by the Madeleine Arts and Humanities Council, was presented to Ruth Lubbers, executive director of VSA Arts of Utah and the Art Access Gallery. Criteria for the annual award include contributions to the arts in Utah long-term dedication and integrity. Presenting the award were (left) the Most Rev. John C. Wester, Bishop of Salt Lake City; and Monsignor Joseph M. Mayo, pastor of the Cathedral of the Madeleine. Msgr. Mayo also gifted Lubbers with an illustrated Book of Psalms. IC photo/Marie Mischel
