SALT LAKE CITY — Manuel Guadalupe (Yuay) Martinez, 85, passed away Feb. 8, 2013.

Martinez was born on Dec. 12, 1927 in Tierra Amarilla, N.M. to Benjamin and Marta (Lucero) Martinez. He served in the U.S. Army and Navy. He returned to Tierra Amarilla, where he married his first wife, Aurelia (April) Ulibarri. He later married Patricia Monson Radle.

Martinez is survived by his wife, five children, 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a brother and a sister.

Martinez was preceded in death by his first wife and eldest daughter.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
