Mary Ann Atencio, age 88, passed away surrounded by family on May 18, 2024 in North Ogden. Born Feb. 13, 1936 in Topeka, Kansas, Mary Ann met and then married the love of her life, Leroy Atencio, on May 5, 1967.

She is the proud mother of four children: Kim, Tracy, Michael and Jon; and loving grandmother of 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandkids. Mary Ann raised her family in North Ogden and later in life moved to Colorado Springs, where she and Leroy made lots of friends.

Mary Ann was a devout Catholic and spent many years working with the community through St. James the Just Catholic Church. Her love and dedication to the Lord were demonstrated through her endless kindness and acceptance of all.

Mary Ann enjoyed traveling, cooking, time in nature and especially her friends and family. In her final days, she loved hearing memories from the people who loved her most. Her humor stayed sharp, and her love ran deep. She stayed graceful, beautiful and kind until the very end.

Funeral services were held at St. James the Just Catholic Church in Ogden on May 25, 2024.
