Mary E. Giron Archuleta, a resident of Serviletta, New Mexico, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on December 24, 2019. She was born on February 28, 1943 in Petaca, New Mexico to Jose Angul Giron and Dulcinella Ortiz Giron. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gilbert H. Archuleta; her parents; infant son Anthony; two brothers; her in-laws Ruth and Leo Archuleta; brother-in-law George Archuleta and sister-in-law Gloria Alvarado; and other extended relatives.

She is survived by her children, Gilbert H. Archuleta Jr. and Nadine Martinez, Lori and Tony Tafoya, and Leora Matthew Garcia; grandchildren Brian and Jeremy Archuleta, Anthony, Leo, Felicia and Levi Tafoya, and Jessica, Cherish, Kandi and Angel Suarev; plus many great-grandchildren; loving nieces Veronica and husband, and Josetta and husband and family; and sisters and brothers Maria, Arcelia, Jennie, Robert, Ruth and husband Randy, and Diane; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on January 25, 2020 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1058 West 400 South, Salt Lake City, with an hour visitation at 11 a.m. and rosary, followed by the funeral Mass. Graveside services will be at the Taylorsville Cemetery, 4555 S. Redwood Road. There will be a luncheon after the graveside services at American Legion Holiday Post 71, 3419 S. West Temple, Salt Lake City.
