OGDEN — Mary Nunez, 83, passed away April 11, 2015. 

Nunez was born Feb. 23, 1932 in Arroyo Seco, N.M. to Slivaria and David Sanchez. She was raised by Navitividea and Locadio Cordova. She married Ernest on Oct. 25, 1951.

She helped many organizations: The Salvation Army, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, The Heart Institute, Veterans Affairs, cancer research, St. Jude’s Hospital, Catholic Community Services and many more. She was a member of Saint Joseph Parish and belonged to the Union Pacific Club #6.

Nunez is survived by husband Ernest, daughter Jeanne Barnes, son-in-law Ken H. Barnes, son Ernest V. Nunez, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their appreciation to all the doctors at McKay Dee Hospital who cared for her and did their very best to treat and keep her comfortable, as well as those who visited her at her home to assist her with her needs.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint James the Just Catholic Church.
