SALT LAKE CITY — Matt J. Padjen, 81, died April 29, 2013. Padjen was born Sept. 17, 1931 in Midvale, to Ivan and Anna Rukavina Padjen. On Sept. 17, 1955, he married Angie Miola in Saint Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church in Midvale. Padjen was employed at Kennecott Copper for 34 years as a train engineer. He also helped his son with Padjen Lawn Care from 1985 to 2013. Padjen is survived by wife Angie; daughter Lisa Greene; son Dave; two grandchildren; brothers Joe and George (Carol). Padjen was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Nick, John and Lee; sister Pat Whitehead and her husband, Don; and sisters-in-law Ginny, Wilma and Katie. A private family service and burial were held.
