WEST VALLEY CITY — Michael L. "Poppa" Sullivan, 80, died March 27, 2011 in West Valley City. Sullivan was born March 2, 1931, to James F. and Belva P. Sullivan in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served his country in the Korean War. His joy in life was spending time with family and friends, fishing, golfing, and trapshooting. He was an accomplished mechanic and cabinet maker. He had many great qualities, one of which was his great sense of humor. He was always quick with a joke to put a smile on anyone’s face. Sullivan is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice Wolstenholme Sullivan; children, Michael (Susan), Terry (Ken) Hampton, and Christopher (Cindy); eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Arva and Rae. A funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Magna. Committal was in Valley View Memorial Park.
