Orchestral Christmas Concert — featuring the Juan Diego CHS orchestra. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 7 p.m. in the school auditorium, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. Free and open to the public.

Sounds of the Season — concert featuring the Utah Wind Symphony with St. Ambrose Parish organist Chris Huntzinger. Selections will include “Sleigh Ride,” Reed’s “Russian Christmas Music” and Leroy Anderson’s “A Christmas Festival.” Free; but they will accept donations of new socks and underwear for men, women and children (all sizes) who are living at The Road Home. Friday, Dec. 4, 7:30 p.m., at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 South 2300 East, SLC.

Advent concert — a night of music and reflection with Daniel Oberreuter of the Catholic band “The Thirsting.” Sunday, Dec. 6, 6 p.m. at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, 624 W. Lennox St., Midvale. Free-will donations accepted. For information, call the parish office, 801-255-3721.

Christmas Band Concert — featuring the Juan Diego CHS and St. John the Baptist Middle School wind, orchestral, concert and jazz bands. Monday, Dec. 7, 7 p.m. in the JDCHS auditorium, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. Free and open to the public.

Wintersongs 2015 — Wednesday, Dec. 9, 6 and 8 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 725 South 250 East, Hyde Park. The choral ensembles of Utah State University will be joined by the USU Low Brass Choir in performing holiday arrangements. The evening also will feature the St. Thomas Aquinas organ as well as piano, percussion and English hand bells. Free and open to the public. Donations to the USU choirs accepted. Please, no children under 8 years old.

Christmas Choral Concert — featuring the Juan Diego CHS Concert Choir, the St. John the Baptist Middle School Choir and the St. John the Baptist Parish choir. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 7:30 p.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. Free and open to the public.

Christmas Carol Service — 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17 and Friday, Dec. 18 at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. Presented by The Choir of the Cathedral of the Madeleine, featuring the Choristers of The Madeleine Choir School.

A Ceremony of Carols — by Benjamin Britten; presented by The Choir of the Cathedral of the Madeleine, featuring the Choristers of The Madeleine Choir School. 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22 and Wednesday, Dec. 23 at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. 

Passes are not required, but a full house for the performance is expected. Arrive early to ensure seating.
