Several representatives of the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City attended “Love One Another,” a May 2 Salt Lake City National Day of Prayer observance at the Red Lion Hotel in Salt Lake City. The Very Reverend Langes J. Silva, diocesan judicial vicar, gave the opening prayer at the event. The prayer breakfast featured remarks by Utah National Guard Adjutant Major General Jefferson S. Burton and Operation Railroad President Tim Ballard, along with prayers from many different faith leaders. The event was sponsored by Standing Together, a group of Utah Christian churches and ministries. Shown at the breakfast from right are Fr. Silva; Director of Faith Formation Susan Northway; former Office of Life, Justice and Peace Director Dee Rowland; Director of the Office of Liturgy Ruth Dillion; and Father Joshua Santos, administrator of St. Ambrose Parish.
