Sixteen members (one not pictured) of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem Western USA Lieutenancy attended the 2017 Annual Meeting in Santa Barbara, Calif., which was hosted by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Sept. 28-Oct 2.

Four members were promoted in rank: The Very Rev. Sir Martin Diaz, KCHS and Sir Raymond Dardano, KCHS, were promoted to Knight Commander; Lady Joan Loffredo, LC*HS, was promoted to Lady Grand Officer; and Lady Rolinda Dardano, LCHS, was promoted to Lady Commander.

More than 500 members from the Western USA Lieutenancy attended the meeting, which began with a Spirituality Pilgrimage to the Old Mission Santa Barbara, where Vespers were celebrated.

A ministry fair continued throughout the day on Friday, highlighting the many works of the Order. Members gathered for a Traveler’s Mass followed by retreats for Investees, Promotees and Members.

Saturday’s events included the Promotions and Memorial Mass followed by dinner and dancing to a disco theme.

Sunday’s events began with an all-members meeting, Investiture Mass and a formal Grand Ball.

The Annual Meeting concluded Monday with a Traveler’s Mass and First Monday Rosary.
