Posadas

Each year the Diocese of Salt Lake City observes the Spanish tradition of posadas, a nine-day celebration re-enacting Mary and Joseph’s search for a place to stay on their journey to Bethlehem. 

During the novena, a different parish in the diocese will host the posadas each night, beginning at 7 p.m. The schedule follows.

Dec. 16 – St. Rose of Lima, 210 S. Chapel St., Layton

Dec. 17 – St. Joseph, 506 24th St., Ogden

Dec. 18 – Santa Ana, 600 North 760 West, Tremonton

Dec. 19 – Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC

Dec. 20 – St. Henry, 380 South 200 East, Brigham City

Dec. 21 – Sts. Peter and Paul, 3580 West 3650 South, West Valley City

Dec. 22 – Our Lady of Lourdes, 2840 South 9000 West, Magna

Dec. 23 – St. Francis Xavier, 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns

Dec. 24 – All diocesan parishes and missions that wish to participate
