Principal camps out to reward students for reaching goal

Bryan Penn, principal of Blessed Sacrament School in Sandy, made good on his promise to spend the night in a tent outside the school after students raised $20,000 as part of the school’s “Superhero Fun Run” fall fundraiser. To reach the goal, students invited individuals to contribute funds that will allow the school to purchase new textbooks and other items to benefit students. To thank the donors for their support, students competed in a school-wide fun run on Sept. 29.
