salt lake city — Raymond Erasmo Sanchez, 69, died Jan. 3, 2012 following a battle with heart disease.

Sanchez was born May 30, 1942 in Dulce, N.M. to Florencio (Cisco) Sanchez and Rebecca Salazar Sanchez. He married Marjorie Crosby Nov.3, 1999.

Sanchez is survived by his wife; his children: Shelly (Glen) deJong, Rebecca (Mark) Devenport, Shane Gibson, Lance (Teresa) Gibson, Matthew (Arianna) Gibson; grandchildren: Hyrum, Ruthie, Lily, Cheyenne, Ashley, Braden, Mikayla, Zachary, Ryan and Alexis; brother Florentino Sanchez; sisters Betty Peterson and Becky (Rean "Max") Vandongen.

Sanchez was preceded in death by both parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
