SALT LAKE CITY — For the second year in a row, the Cathedral of the Madeleine will host the annual Sacred Music Colloquium of the Church Music Association of America, a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of sacred music in the Catholic liturgy.

The colloquium will be at the Cathedral of the Madeleine June 17 – 23.

The event’s liturgies and plenary lectures are open to the public.

Mass will be celebrated Tuesday – Friday at 5:15 p.m., with people from the colloquium providing the music for the Mass. The weekend Mass schedule follows.

Other events that are open to the public follow. All are at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 S. Temple, Salt Lake City.

On Tuesday, June 18, Monsignor Andrew Wadsworth will present a plenary session with the topic “Life-long Learning: Personal Reflections on the Influence of the Liturgy,” 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.

At the 5:15 p.m. Mass, David Hughes will be the organist.
