Scott Geno Posselli was born on August 15, 1956 to Fay and Eugene Posselli in Salt Lake City.

Scott was one of the greatest men to grace this earth; his presence was something words cannot describe. Scott graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in 1974. He attended some college. In his younger years, he aspired to do many things. He was a bodybuilder who always picked on his younger siblings. He enjoyed dancing, especially with his mother. A concert pianist, garbage man, cameraman for the Jazz and many other sporting events, Scott loved nothing more than to read while listening to rock and roll (Pink Floyd). His favorite book was the Bible. He was a devout Catholic and even considered becoming a priest.

In 1982, he had his baby girl Brandy, soon followed by his two sons, Nick and Josh. Scott is survived by his children Brandy (Jason) Clydesdale, Nick (Holly) and Josh (Rachel); grandchildren Kaylee, Brexton and Talon; his sister Gina (Rich) Thomason; his brother Paul (Dee); and his nieces and nephews Darcy, Brittni, Tony and Joey.  Scott was a friend, a listener, a beer-drinking, fun-having kind of guy. Most important in his life was being a dad, a papa, a brother, a son and uncle.

Scott suffered from multiple sclerosis from 1991 to present, although if you knew him he would disagree. He fought with dignity and pride, smiling until his final breath. Scott will always be remembered for his warm heart and amazing soul. Although we are extremely sad, Scott is free from his limited body and for that, we rejoice. He is our angel that will live on through the examples he taught us. We love you with all of our hearts. Go Jazz, Packers. Cheers, old man!

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of his friends, fellow parishioners and to the whole medical team that has been involved in his life. Trust us – the list is long.

A funeral Mass was celebrated August 7 at St. Olaf Catholic Church, followed by a graveside service at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the M.S. Society to combat this horrible disease.
