Sestia Mae Leppek went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 17, 2022. She was 91 years old. Sestia married Robert Leppek on October 20, 1951. They made their home in Salt Lake City until 1977, when they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Sestia and Bob were active members at St Ambrose Parish in Salt Lake City. It was there where Sestia became very active in CCD and in the Catholic Charismatic Movement in the 1970s. She enjoyed the many workshops and seminars she attended with her group of women friends from St Ambrose. Sestia also worked at Zion’s Bank, Fashion Fabrics, home health agencies and Vegas Village. She loved learning, going to the library and teaching others. Sestia also enjoyed figure skating, sewing, flower gardening and cheesecake. She loved the Lord and was a fierce advocate for the down and out. She enjoyed sharing what she had to help others.

She is survived by her husband Robert (Bob); sons Larry (Helen), North Dakota and David (Tina), California; daughters Gloria (Tom), South Carolina and Mary, Nevada; sister Mildred Wikoff, Kansas; grandsons Daniel Leppek, Andrew Yugel, Joey Goodwill and Tony Leppek; granddaughters, Buffy Brett, Abbey Galindo and Molly Leppek; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ruth Werham; a brother, Harry Kalb Jr., and a grandson, Luke Leppek.

Sestia will be buried at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada.

In celebration of Sestia’s life well-lived, her family will be remembering a memory of days past and enjoying a time of ice skating under the stars on December 26, 2022. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.palmcheyenne.com for the Leppek family.
