The recently published ACT test scores for the 2015-2016 school year show that Saint Joseph Catholic High School students demonstrated gains in the overall score and in every subject area of the exam. The average Saint Joseph student composite score is 24.7, which is 4.5 points above the average of Utah students. It is also a 2.6 point improvement over students’ performance last year. Across the board during the past five years, Saint Joseph CHS students’ have scored significantly higher than the average for the state of Utah and the United States.
One hundred percent of St. Joseph CHS students graduate from high school and 99 percent attend college after graduation.
The ACT test scores show that graduating St. Joseph CHS students meet or exceed college ready benchmarks.
“This growth in our ACT scores reflects our high schools’ commitment to strong teaching and learning in a Catholic culture of excellence,” said Principal Clay Jones. “Our students’ success is driven by many variables: work ethic, community service, critical thinking, leadership skills, parent support, and dedicated teachers committed to a strong value-based education. These test scores are not the only indicator of the valuable person we are placing into the next phase of their educational career.”
