OGDEN — In the spirit of stewardship, the students at Saint Joseph Elementary and Middle School did their part to support U.S. military troops by donating their Halloween candy. In just one week, the candy donation box was overflowing with every type of candy you can imagine. Cheryl Costello, wife of Col. Michael Costello, 388th MXG Commander at Hill Air Force Base, was thrilled about the donation. The candy was given to the Airman & Family Readiness Center to be placed in care packages for military personnel serving overseas. "You have no idea how much it means to our brave servicemen and women to receive something from home when they are so far away," Costello said. The students were happy to "sacrifice" their candy in appreciation for the sacrifices of those who keep us safe and free. Courtesy of St. Joseph Catholic Schools
