We had a good meeting of the executive committee of the St. Thomas More Society several weeks ago in the law offices of Ron Yengich. This is an organization of judges, law enforcement officers and lawyers who come together to discuss issues pertinent to their professions, with an eye toward how the teachings of the Church can assist them in their service to our society. Once a year we have what we call the “Red Mass” followed by a small reception. This is an opportunity to ask God to guide the members of the Society in their responsibilities and to especially ask that they be kept safe. St. Thomas More was a great churchman and had a keen legal mind. I pray for his intercession to help our new St. Thomas More Society grow and prosper for many years to come.
