Superintendent of Utah Catholic Schools

The Most Rev. John C. Wester, Bishop of Salt Lake City, is pleased to announce that Mark Longe, the current principal of Saint Vincent de Paul School, has been named the new superintendent of Utah Catholic Schools. Longe brings to the office 19 years of administrative experience and seven years in the classroom. He has both an elementary and secondary teaching credential and holds a Master's Degree in Catholic School Leadership from the University of San Francisco. He was selected after a four-month search process and will begin his new assignment Aug. 1.

Gary Green will assume the duties of principal at Saint Vincent de Paul School; he will be assisted by Sarah Lambert.

Holy Cross Sister Catherine Kamphaus, the current Superintendent of Schools, will continue to work in the Utah Catholic Schools office as the associate superintendent. Holy Cross Sister Genevra Rolf, the current Associate Superintendent, will retire at the end of this school year.

The Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City welcomes Longe in his new role as superintendent, and thank Sr. Catherine and Sr. Genevra for their many years of educational leadership and guidance in the diocese.
