October is the Month of the Rosary, and during the last two weeks numerous Catholic parishes, schools and organizations throughout the Diocese of Salt Lake City have participated in the devotion. Bishop Oscar A. Solis asked all Utah Catholics to join the Oct. 7-10 Diocesan Rosary Congress, a nationwide effort to have rosaries said throughout the United States during those days to pray for peace in the world, the conversion of the U.S., an end to abortion, the sanctification of families and reparation of sin. Other events that were observed locally were the Oct. 7 Coast to Coast Rosary and the Our Lady of Fatima Rosary Rally on Oct. 13. Shown clockwise from left are Bishop Oscar A.
