Homeschool conference OGDEN — Utah Catholic Homeschoolers will sponsor a Homeschool and Family Conference Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. James Parish, 495 North Harrison Blvd., Ogden. CCS’s food supply is down SALT LAKE CITY — Catholic Community Services (CCS) is in need of food to feed the hungry. The food items most needed are canned tuna fish, peanut butter, tomato products, pasta and pasta sauce, canned stew, baked beans, cereals, rice, and canned fruit. Lourdes national pilgrimage SALT LAKE CITY — Catholics from the Diocese of Salt Lake City are invited to join a national pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in France in commemoration of the 150th anniversary. The pilgrimage, from Aug. 11-17, will be led by Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, Archbishop Emeritus of Washington, D.C. At Bishop John C. Wester’s request, Msgr. Ladders and Muffins event OGDEN — The Sisters of St. Benedict and the St. Benedict’s Foundation are seeking church groups, families, businesses, and non-profit organizations to host one or more homes in the Ogden and South Ogden area during the upcoming “Group Workcamps” June 16-20. A workcamp is an intensive week of service for Christian youth and adults coming to these communities from all over the country. During this week, up to 70 homes will be painted or repaired free of charge. Recipients are low-income homeowners, senior citizens, people with disabilities, and single parents.
