Third Catholic Week of Peace, Justice and Life — Beginning Sunday, April 27 through May 4. Theme: “Guatemalans: Faithful to the Gospel, to their people, and in service to the Catholic Church in Utah.” Fr. Benjamin Yac Pérez, pastor of Saint Catherine of Ixtlahuacán Parish in  Sololá (Guatemala) will be present.

Divine Mercy Sunday — Sunday, April 27, 3-4 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven, with Eucharistic Adoration and the chanting of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. A celebratory reception for the Militia Immaculata’s 25th anniversary in the Diocese of Salt Lake City will follow. All are welcome.

Divine Mercy Service — Sunday, April 27, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 E. Creek Road, Cottonwood Heights. 2 p.m. healing holy hour with Adoration and singing of the Divine Mercy Chaplet. 3 p.m. Mass. The Sacrament of Confession will not be offered.

Divine Mercy Service — Sunday, April 27, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane, Holladay. Adoration 12:30-3:30 p.m.; prayer service with veneration of a first-class relic of St. Faustina 2 p.m., rosary 2:30 p.m., Divine Mercy Chaplet, 3 p.m.

Diocesan Cursillo Ultreya — Sunday, April 27, 5-6:30 p.m. at St. Andrew Parish, Room 112, 11835 South 3600 West, Riverton. Madeleine Festival Concert — Sunday, May 11, 7:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. English and French Masters of the 20th century, works by Benjamin Britten, James MacMillan, Francis Poulenc and Jehan Alain. With the cathedral choir featuring the choristers of The Madeleine Choir School.

Pastoral Center Closed — The Diocese of Salt Lake City Pastoral Center will be closed Monday, May 26, for Memorial Day. It will reopen on Tuesday, May 27, at 8:30 a.m.

Utah Catholic Conference — a day of faith formation for adults and youth. Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Skaggs Catholic Center, 300 East 11800 South, Draper.

Evening Prayer — Wednesdays, 4:30 p.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 E. Creek Road, Cottonwood Heights, with the St. Catherine of Siena Lay Dominican Chapter. All are welcome.

Liturgy of the Hours — first and third Fridays of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the St. Joseph’s Villa chapel, 415 E. Bishop Federal Lane, SLC. With the Secular Discalced Carmelites. All are welcome.

Shoe Donations Needed — Catholic Community Services of Utah’s Weigand Resource Center is in need of men’s sneakers and boots for clients experiencing homelessness. Donations can be dropped off at 437 West 200 South, SLC weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Other high-priority needs include toothpaste, shampoo and bar soap.

Abba Women’s Prayer Group meets every Monday except holidays at 6:30 p.m. in the St. Joseph room at St. Lawrence Mission, 5 South 100 West, Heber. Call Olga Hibl, 209-480-8972, for information.

Patriotic Rosary — Members of St. George Catholic Parish pray a patriotic rosary twice a month using booklets purchased from Caritas of Birmingham. St. George invites all parishes in the Diocese of Salt Lake City to pray the patriotic rosary.

Lay Dominican Information Session — Every third Sunday of the month immediately following the 10:45 a.m. Mass, Our Lady of Victory Lay Dominican Chapter will have an open house/ information session in the gathering space of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 170 S. The Diocese of Salt Lake City is invited to shop at the Ladies of Charity of Northern Utah’s Center of Hope Thrift Store on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 74 S. Orchard Drive, North Salt Lake. Donations of gently used clean and folded clothing also are accepted.
