SALT LAKE CITY — "All of us at Judge Memorial Catholic High School are very proud of these young adults," said Judge Memorial principal Rick Bartman. "They are good students who have excelled in their studies. They are bright and personable leaders with unlimited potential. We’re thrilled their hard work and commitment." The young adults are A.J. Carman who has signed to play baseball at Washington State University. "He has all the tools to be a great pitcher," said Judge coach Jeff Myaer. Court Zollinger has signed to play baseball at Utah Valley University. "Court is a wonderful example of a tremendous athlete where hard work and dedication has paid off," said Myaer. Will Katoa signed to play football at Eastern Washington University. "Will has worked very hard to get to this point, both on the field and in the classroom," said James Cordova, Judge Memorial head football coach. Mitch Wood signed to play football at Willamette University. "Mitch worked very hard for this opportunity and will gain great academic and athletic experience at Willamette," said Cordova. Marquel Reddish will play girls soccer at the University of Chicago. "The academic opportunities really made my decision easy," said Reddish. Morgan Rockwell has signed to play girls soccer at Louisiana Tech University. "I went to visit the school last spring and I loved the campus," said Rockwell. Maddy Cartwright signed with Seattle University to play girls soccer. Jake Troy has signed to play soccer at California State University at Northridge. "Jake is an outstanding young man, and a captain for the 2009 squad," said Kelly Terrill, Judge Memorial’s boys soccer head coach. Stallon Saldivar has committed to play basketball at Northern Arizona University. "I’m happy to see him have the chance to continue to play basketball at the next level," said James Yerkovich, head basketball coach and Judge Memorial vice principal. "I know that he has the ability to raise himself to the level that he needs to be in order to be productive in college." And Lukas Richards has committed to fine arts-performance at Utah State University. "Having never done theatre before and joining halfway through his junior year, he has shown incredible promise," said Darin Hathaway, arts faculty member. "These young adults have given Judge Memorial some exciting moments in sports and performance, certainly, but in a larger sense they have made huge contributions to the life of our community," continued Bartman. "We are very happy that all of these Judge seniors have earned this opportunity to further advance their academic, artistic, and athletic careers."
