PRICE — The Honorable A. John Ruggeri, 92, passed away Dec. 7, 2011. Ruggeri was born April 1, 1919 in Price to John and Pauline Berra Ruggeri. He married Margaret Lorraine Price on June 20, 1942 in Helper. Ruggeri served in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the USS Ringgold, where he advanced to the rank of lieutenant junior grade. He acted as both county and city attorney and presided as city judge prior to occupying the 7th Circuit bench. Ruggeri is survived by his daughters, Ad Mara Ruggeri, Evadne (Darrell) Goodhue; son, John Price Ruggeri; his grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Frances Cunliffe; nieces and nephews. Ruggeri was preceded in death by his wife; parents; infant son; granddaughter; and sister, Mary R. Karren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church.
