MIDVALE — Adonelia Ortega, 85, died Dec. 3, at her home. Ortega was born April 20, 1922, in Servieta, N.M., to Laborin and Erminia Benavidez Pena. She married David Ortega July 29, 1940, in La Madera, N.M. He preceded her in death April 12, 2007. She enjoyed dancing, the slot machines in Wendover. She also had a talent for crocheting and a love for baking which she shared with everyone. She is survived by her children, Mary (Walter) Moskal, Roy (Cordy) Ortega, Liz (Thomas) Vlakovich; five grandchildren, Michele (George), David, Jesse, Adrienne, and T.J.; four great-grandchildren, Jacinda, Evan, Allec, and Jaden; sisters, Noyola Loomis, Abranita Lucero; brothers, Elmo, Isai8as, Elizardo, Lamo; sisters-in-law and surrogate mother, Rebecca Pena, whom she lived with as a young woman; also Lupita Ortega and Tina Ortega. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church. Interment was in Midvale City Cemetery.
