SALT LAKE CITY — Apalaner "Paul" Cisneros, 81, died Nov. 3, in St. George. Cisneros was born Nov. 17, 1924, in Questa, New Mexico, to Abenicio and Ursilita Cisneros. He moved to Bingham, Utah, as a young man and married Katie Rubalcava. They were married for 57 years. She preceded him in death. He married Josie Lopez Oct. 21, 2000. Cisneros served in World War II in the South Pacific. He retired from Kennecott Copper Corporation. As a young man, he learned to play the trumpet, which began his love for music. He played for radio programs and local events, and later formed the Paul Cisneros Orchestra. For the past several years, he played his harmonica for the Sts. Peter and Paul Spanish choir. Cisneros is survived by his wife, Josie; children, Paul (Cookie) Cisneros, DiAnne (Manuel) Garcia, Frank (Patricia) Cisneros, Becky (Brennen) Jensen; step-children, Peggy Salazar, Mickey (Mike) Romero, Fred Lopez, Marcia (Jim) Martinez; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; friend Phil Lopez; and honorary son, David Ulibarri. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Committal was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
