June 17, 1927 ~ February 6, 2021

Arlene Pierotti passed away February 6, 2021.  She was born to Robert Jerry and Agnes Strakey Tomsick on June 17, 1927 and was raised in Spring Glen, Utah.

She always said it was love at first sight when she met Mack, her future husband, at the home of Mack’s brother Albert and his wife, Dena. Mom and Dad made their home and raised their four children in Alamosa, Colorado, eventually settling and retiring in Salt Lake City. There they joined two social organizations, Friends Unlimited and Newcomers, where they met many friends and where Mom could continue her passions of playing bridge, golfing, dancing and entertaining. Mom loved to travel and she and Dad enjoyed road trips in their camper. Other travel highlights included a trip to Hawaii, a cruise to the Virgin Islands and visiting their children and grandchildren all over the United States.

Mom loved to entertain friends and family in her home and everyone looked forward to birthdays and holidays with delicious food served on fine china accompanied by silver and crystal. She made everyone feel welcome and her home was a place of safety, care and affection. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She set examples of excellence in everything she did. Her life was full and she created priceless memories for those around her.  We are blessed to call her ours.

She was a proud member of St. Ambrose Parish for 39 years and was active in St. Ann’s Guild, the Altar Society and the 49ers.

She is survived by her sons Jimmy Pierotti of Eldridge, Montana and Ray Pierotti of Durango, Colorado; daughters Sharon (John) Ader of Sandy, Utah and Deb Pierotti of Brattleboro, Vermont; beloved grandchildren Amie (Robert) Ader-Beeler, Daniel (Samantha) Ader, Michael Ader, Anna Pierotti (Chad Byler) , Dustin (Cathy) Handley and Jessie Handley; and great-grandchildren Xander Beeler, Nick Beeler and Henry Ader.

She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 65 years, Mack Pierotti; brothers Albert, Frank, Robert and Emil; sister Helen Files.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Mack, at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, Bluffdale. The service will be livedstreamed and can be viewed at www.starksfuneral.com.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Utah’s Good Samaritan Program in Arlene’s name.
