Yard Sale — Saint Rose of Lima Council of Catholic Women will host a yard sale Thursday-Saturday, June 16-18, 8 a.m.- 4 p.m., in the rotunda, 280 S. Chapel St., Layton. Many items from which to choose. 

Garage Sale — June 23-25; Thursday, 5 p.m.-8 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.; and Saturday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at St. Andrew Parish, 11835 South 3600 West, Riverton. Use the school entrance. Items include furniture, household items, antiques, collectibles, books and clothing. 

Alumni BBQ — sponsored by the St. Joseph CHS Alumni Association. Friday, June 24, at the school, 1790 Lake St., Ogden. Social hour begins at 6 p.m.; BBQ at 7. All are invited. Cost: $10, cash or check only. Refreshments available. Reservations not required.

ASL Mass — Fr. Shawn Carey, Office of the Deaf Apostolate from the Archdiocese of Boston, will offer Masses, retreats and discussions with children and adults June 25-26 at St. Vincent de Paul Parish’s Holy Family Hall, 1375 Spring Lane, Holladay. Golf Tournament — The 9th Annual Victor Marquez Memorial will be Saturday, June 25, at the Ridge Golf Club, 5055 S. Westridge, Blvd., WVC. Cost: $80 per golfer; includes cart, lunch, drinks. Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary — Monday, Aug. 15, is not a holy day of obligation this year. (The NCCB decree of 13 December 1991, confirmed by the Apostolic See on 04 July 1992, stipulates that whenever Aug. 15 falls on a Saturday or on a Monday, the precept to attend Mass is abrogated.)

Catholics Can Award — The Diocese of Salt Lake City Commission for People with Disabilities is accepting nominations for the annual Catholics Can Award, which may be given to a parish, an organization or an individual who ensures all are welcome and served in our local Church.
