St. Francis Xavier Parish Festival — Saturday, Aug. 27, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns. Beginning at 8 a.m. will be a farmer’s market and garage sale, at 9 a.m. there will be a children’s fun run, festival activities from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and a dance at 8 p.m., which will cost $10 per person.

Fall Festival and 5K Run — Saturday, Aug. 27, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 28, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Parish and School, 9800 South 1700 East, Sandy. Admission is free. Pot Luck Farewell Luncheon — Sunday, Aug. 28 for Msgr. Bill Bonczewski, pastor of Saint Jude Maronite Catholic Church, who is being is reassigned to West Virginia. The luncheon will be at the church, 4900 Wasatch St., Murray, following the 10:30 a.m. Divine Liturgy.

Starting at 9 a.m. with a pancake breakfast, the event will include games and entertainment featuring musicians and dancers from the surrounding areas, a farmer’s market and local business vendors. Bulldog Scramble Golf Tourney — Sunday, Sept. 11 with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. at Mountain Dell golf course, Interstate 80 Exit 134, SLC.
