Mark Longe Retirement Celebration — An open house to celebrate Mark Longe, Superintendent of Utah Catholic Schools, on his retirement will be held Monday, Aug. 18, 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the Juan Diego CHS Commons, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. In lieu of gifts, please consider contributing to the Mark and Tina Longe Endowment, which provides financial support for tuition assistance for low-income students at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic School.

Celebration of Fr. Charles Cummins — Friday, Aug. 22 beginning with a 5 p.m. Mass followed by fellowship in the St. Joseph Parish hall, 506 24th St., Ogden. Bring your favorite dish to share.

Dinner and Games — Saturday, Aug. 23 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 450 East 2100 South, SLC.  Costs for dinner and 18 games: $23 pp. Doors open at 3:30 p.m., dinner begins at 4:45, games begin at 6.  Must be 18 or older to attend. 

Concert — featuring Baroque sonatas and suites presented by the ensemble Well, If It Ain’t Baroque. Each piece will be preceded by a brief explanation of the music. Saturday, Aug. 23, 7 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 E. Spring Lane, Holladay. Free; a freewill offering to support the music ministry at St. Vincent’s will be accepted. A reception will follow.

Pastoral Center Closed — The Diocese of Salt Lake City Pastoral Center will be closed Monday, Sept. 1, for Labor Day. It will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 8:30 a.m.

Give Me A Chance Fundraiser — The Enchantment in the Summer Garden dinner will be Saturday, Sept. 6, in Give Me A Chance’s Guadalupe Garden, 2913 Grant Ave., Ogden. Eucharistic Miracles of the World Display — Saturday, Sept. 6 through Sunday, Sept. 16 in St. Thomas More Parish’s Meyer Hall, 3015 E. Creek Road, Cottonwood Heights. The exhibit may be viewed after all Masses and during regular parish office hours.
