Feast of St. Mary Magdalene — The Cathedral of the Madeleine will celebrate the feast of the patron of the diocese and the cathedral on Saturday, July 22 with a bilingual Mass at 6 p.m. Following Mass, a plaque will be unveiled in the plaza honoring Irene Sweeney, for whom the plaza will be named. All are welcome.

Rite of Total Consecration — Sunday, Aug. 13 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven, after the 10 a.m.Mass. In recognition of the Aug.14 Feast of St. Maximilian Kolbe, the Militia of the Immaculata will host the Rite of Total Consecration to the Immaculata. A reception will follow. All are welcome. Bishop’s Dinner — to benefit the Cathedral of the Madeleine. Tuesday, Sept. 5 at the Grand America Hotel, 555 Main St., SLC. 6 p.m. social; 7 p.m. dinner. Speaker will be Bishop Gregory John Mansour of the Maronite Eparchy of Saint  Maron of Brooklyn.

Saint Ann’s Bell Choir — is looking for new members. Candidates need not be able to read music, although it is helpful. Choir members are trained to read the music and properly ring the bells.  They practice weekly and perform three to five times per year. Backpack Bonanza — Catholic Community Services is collecting school supplies for children in need through its annual Backpack Bonanza. Donations accepted through Aug. 4 at 2504 F Ave., Ogden from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. weekdays. Suggested donations include money, backpacks, binders, folders, pencil boxes, paper, notebooks, colored pencils, glue sticks, markers, crayons, highlighters, rulers and scissors.
