Coats for Kids Fundraiser — Sunday, Oct. 15 after the 8:30 a.m. Mass at St. John the Baptist Parish, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. All proceeds from the pancake breakfast will go toward purchasing coats for kids in need.
Hesburgh Lecture — Monday, Oct. 16, 7 p.m. in the Juan Diego CHS auditorium, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. Richard Garnett, professor of law and political science and Notre Dame law school director on church, state and society, will discuss “Religious Freedom in America Today.” Free and open to the public.
Two Popes – Two Letters to the World — Tuesday, Oct. 17, 6:30 p.m. at The Madeleine Choir School, 205 East First Ave., SLC. An opportunity to discuss Caritas in Veritate and Fratelli Tutti, two recent encyclical letters that consider how the teachings of Jesus address challenges faced in our world. Also available by Zoom. Msgr. Benvegnu Lecture — Thursday, Oct. 19, 7 p.m. in the St. Vincent de Paul Parish Benvegnu Center, 1375 E. Spring Lane, SLC. Fr. Samuel Dinsdale, pastor, will present “The Joy of the Gospel,” which will cover Pope Francis’ encyclical The Joy of the Gospel.

Saint Ann’s Bell Choir — is looking for new members. Candidates need not be able to read music, although it is helpful. Choir members are trained to read the music and properly ring the bells.  They practice weekly and perform three to five times per year.
