Saint Joseph Catholic Schools Open House

Boys Spring basketball camp — March 21-25 for current 5th- through 8th-grade boys. This Judge Memorial Catholic High School camp will be conducted by the Judge coaching staff along with several of the players from this season’s team. The fee is $40, and all attendees will receive a Judge practice shirt. The deadline for early registration is March 14. All attendees will have the opportunity to compete in basketball contests. ‘The Crucible’ — March 3, 4 and 5 at 7 p.m. Judge Memorial Catholic High School’s spring drama production will be held in the auditorium, 650 South 1100 East, Salt Lake City. "The Crucible" is a dramatization of the Salem witch trials that took place in Massachusetts during 1692 and 1693. Girls spring basketball camp — March 14-18 for current 5th- through 8th-grade girls. Judge Memorial Catholic High School will host this girls’ basketball camp. J.E. Cosgriff Mardi Gras Celebration — Saturday, March 5 at 6 p.m. in the St. Ambrose Social Hall, 1975 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City. This festive event will feature a gourmet dinner by Lugano, live auction, dancing and games. Guests are encouraged to wear costumes. DCCW and St. Thomas More Parish Women’s Retreat — Friday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Father Rick Sherman, pastor of Saint Elizabeth Parish, Saint Jude Mission and Saint Juan Diego Mission, will present the retreat on God’s Plan of Salvation and "Theology of the Body." Hockey in Harmony — The Juan Diego Performing Arts Department will perform at the Grizzlies Hockey Game during intermission on Feb. 19. Mardi Gras celebration — Saturday, March 5, from 6:30 p.m.to 9:30 p.m. in the Saint Olaf McNamara Center, 1850 So. Orchard Drive, Bountiful. Summer Science Internships — Juan Diego Catholic High School is accepting applications for student internships with the University of Utah College of Pharmacy. Students participate in research in the biomedical sciences over eight weeks during the summer. St. Paul Catholic Center Masses and SCAP services — A bilingual SCAP service is held on the second Sunday of the month at the St. Paul Catholic Center, 171 South Main Street, Hurricane. Ministry of Mothers Sharing — Friday-Saturday, March 11-12 at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 725 South 250 East, Hyde Park. The MOMS group will offer a retreat for women Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. beginning with a soup supper, and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon beginning with a continental breakfast. The retreat is open to all women and the cost is $15 per session or $20 for both sessions if paid by March 6. Childcare will be available for a limited number of children.
