April 3, 1934 ~ December 2, 2024
Beth Anne Frandsen Hollingshead was born April 3, 1934 and passed away December 2, 2024. She was born in Price to Elta Davis Frandsen and Leonard George Frandsen. She had two brothers Richard (Dick) and William (Bill) Frandsen.
Beth married Donald Lee Hollingshead. They resided in Little Rock, Arkansas until the Air Force moved the family to Dover, Delaware, where Donald passed away in 1960. She then married Leonard Farnworth in 1970, later divorced. Beth worked hard her whole life. She raised three daughters alone while working full time; she went back to college to receive a degree in business administration. She also was a member of the Alta Ski Team. She was an amazing mother and made sure her daughters had everything they needed.
Beth was a friend to all and always had room for more friends to add to her life. She loved everyone and always had a beautiful smile on her face. Mom really looked forward to her “Lunch Bunch” dates with a group of women from the VA hospital, where she worked for 38 years before retiring in 2018 at the young age of 84. Mom volunteered countless hours devoted to helping the veterans and the employee association while working at the VA hospital. Prior to returning to the VA hospital, she was the director of medical records at Primary Children’s Hospital.
Beth was residing at Highland Cove Assisted Living at the time of her passing. We would like to thank the staff at Highland Cove and Aspire Home Healthcare for taking such good care of Mom. We would also like to recognize her friend Falene Loveland for everything she has done for Mom.
Beth is survived by two of her daughters LeeAnne Jensen and Tonya Nilson (Jeff Nilson); grandsons Justin and Cody Jensen (Michelle Baker), Tanner and Kyler Nilson and Christian Bone; great-grandchildren Jayden Van Komen, Hunter (Autumn Erickson) and Madysen Jensen, Brayden, Kylah and Harper Baker.
Beth was preceded in death by parents Leonard and Elta Frandsen, brothers Richard and William Frandsen, husband Donald Lee Hollingshead, daughter Tamara Bone and grandson Gage Gonzales.
Mom graciously donated her body to the University of Utah Hospital. We will be celebrating her life on Monday, December 16, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Stark’s Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East Millcreek.
