The Council of Catholic Women of Saint James the Just Parish in Odgen recently donated 25 blankets to the Ogden Police Department.

The Council of Catholic Women of Saint James the Just Parish in Odgen recently donated 25 blankets to the Ogden Police Department. The blankets were made during a service night attended by more than 40 parishioners; parishioners also donated the material for the blankets, said Maria Devereux, CCW president. The event was so successful that the group is going to use the spiritual and corporal works of mercy to guide all their projects and meetings this year, she added. According to an Ogden PD Facebook post, “the blankets will be distributed to victims of domestic violence, providing much-needed comfort during some of the most challenging times in their lives.”
