DRAPER — Saint Paul’s Place on the Skaggs Catholic Center campus is more than just a go-to place for school uniforms. They also create unique swag and apparel items for parishes, clubs, sports teams and spirit wear for Utah Catholic Schools.
With their recent partnership with Eastbay and Nike, Saint Paul’s Place has been able to expand their offerings.
“Customers want variety in apparel,” Store Manager Sharon Shelkey said. “Outsourcing to vendors requiring minimum orders, financial investment, and excessive turnaround time often inhibits other small businesses, too. This forced customers to choose from limited options and positioned us to order the most popular sizes, restricting the petite or rotund options. We grew our services by investing in the apparel decorating industry to produce more projects in-house.”
Saint Paul’s Place can now decorate single-piece orders in youth and adult sizes in a timely manner.
SPP takes pride in helping others. “We connect our sister schools and parishes to our trusted vendors for larger quantity orders, and when our production schedule does not permit” completing the order in-house, Shelkey said.
Carrie Lentz, advancement director at Kearns-St. Ann Catholic School, looked no further than Saint Paul’s Place for her design and printing needs looking to create a Founders Day Celebration T-shirt for her students, faculty and staff.
“The staff at Saint Paul’s Place quickly designed and printed over 150 shirts for the celebration,” Lentz said. “For many students, the new T-shirt was their first Falcon shirt.”
Although most people know Saint Paul’s Place as a place to obtain their school uniforms, Utah parishes have also had apparel work done for them, with great reviews.
“St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church is very pleased with the excellent customer service Saint Paul’s Place has given us each and every time,” said Edgar Sosa, the parish’s office manager. “They offer an array of quality apparel to choose from with customizable options. Saint Paul’s Place was able to customize our parish logo on a variety of apparel ranging from polos to jackets. We are extremely satisfied with the results and items were received in a timely manner. Our parish is happy to work with Saint Paul’s Place and will continue to reach out to them for future merchandise needs.”
“It’s our pleasure to serve the Diocese of Salt Lake,” Shelkey said. “We want to be an extension of that service by doing all we can to support those who serve within our Catholic communities.”
