Caroline Lebar Healey
January 2, 1937 ~ August 2, 2025
Loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandmother and sister, Caroline Healey passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025. She was born on January 2, 1937, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to Frank and Ann (Kazola) Lebar. She was a devoted sister to her siblings Frank and MaryAnn as they grew up in Rock Springs, where their father proudly served as a mining engineer for the Union Pacific Mining Company.
Caroline married the love of her life, Jack L. Healey, on June 2, 1957 and they lived in Rock Springs where they welcomed their two sons, George and Michael. Jack’s lifelong career with Mountain Fuel (Questar), brought the family to Salt Lake City in 1961. In 1966, daughter Jacqueline was born, and their lives were rooted in Salt Lake City for nearly 35 more years. Caroline’s most beloved role was as Grandma to their nine grandchildren Matthew, David and Sean Healey, Lindsey (Healey) Pollack, Michael Healey, and Kristen (Healey) Searle, and John (Jack), Caroline (Carrie) and Jeannette Dimpel. Her devotion as Grandma only grew stronger as she became the proud great-grandma to seven great-grandchildren Amitai, Eva, James, Pauline, John, Thomas and Jackson.
In Salt Lake City, Caroline dedicated her life to raising her three children. She was tremendously active in their public education, scouting activities and athletic endeavors. Additionally, she served as a page in the Utah State Legislature and was a prolific ceramics artist creating beautiful works of art for her home and family.
In January 2000 Caroline and Jack moved to The Woodlands, Texas to be closer to two of their children’s families. She was a loving, tireless caregiver for 15 years to her husband Jack until he succumbed to cancer in May 2006. In 2017, Caroline moved back to Salt Lake City. Caroline had a deep faith and was active in all the parishes she worshipped at, principally St. Cyril and Methodius in Rock Springs, Wyoming, St. Ambrose in Salt Lake City, St. Anthony of Padua in The Woodlands, Texas, and finally at St. John the Baptist in Draper.
Caroline is survived by her son George Healey and wife Cheryl, son Michael Healey and wife Lisa, daughter Jacqueline Dimpel and husband John, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and her siblings Frank Lebar and MaryAnn Lebar.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on August 21, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Draper. Interment: Rock Springs Memorial Cemetery.
