SALT LAKE CITY — Catherine "Kay" Jean Fratto, 85, died on May 15, 2011 in her home surrounded by her family due to complications from cancer. Fratto was born on June 9, 1925 in Salt Lake City to Joseph and Nicoletta Chiodo Sirianni. She married Charles Frank Fratto on March 21, 1946. Fratto was an active member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish. A past member of The Legion of Mary, recipient of "Catholic Woman of the Year" for the parish, a minister of the Holy Communion for the sick, and for years she faithfully attended weekly Bible study class and was a member of the Women’s Italian American Civic League. Fratto is survived by her daughters Mary (Maria) Fratto, and JoLyn Fratto-Oyler and husband Jerry Oyler; sons and daughters-in-law, Teach and Patricia Fratto, Lynn Keating Fratto, Paul and Mary Fratto, Frank and Lisette Fratto, Patrick and Kim Kunz Fratto; 13 grandchildren, and five great-grand-children. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Charles Fratto Sr.; son Charles Fratto Jr.; grandson Ryan Fratto and her siblings Frank, Carmen and Rose Sirianni. A Funeral Mass was celebrated Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
