SALT LAKE CITY — , Catherine Beatrice Korogi Martin, 86, passed away on Aug. 9, 2011, of complications due to a stroke.

Martin was born May 3, 1925 in Providence R.I. to Frederick and Helen Sandberg. She married Charles W. Korogi, later divorced, she then married Richard F. "Dick" Martin, her loving husband of 25 years.

Martin was an active member of The Cathedral of the Madeline Catholic Parish. She served as a volunteer at the soup kitchen, serving food to the less fortunate, as well as other volunteer work.

Martin is survived by her husband Richard F. Martin and four sons. Steven C. Korogi (Robin), Montana City Mont.; John F. Korogi (Kellie); Charles M. Korogi (Andrea) Carlsbad Cali.; Matthew D. Korogi (Rebecca); grandchildren Matthew, Christopher and Angela.

A funeral mass was celebrated at the Cathedral of the Madeleine.
