The Catholic Business Network (CBN) has recently reinvented itself to provide more networking and business opportunities for members of the Catholic community.

CBN is a group of business leaders, executives, and professionals in the diocese who meet regularly to discuss common business experiences, issues, problems and solutions under a shared faith. Its purpose is to create deeper business relationships that result in greater business and employment opportunities within the Catholic community.

Members many opportunities to network. Each quarter the general membership meets for dinner to network with business professionals from across the diocese and listen to prominent guest speakers. Additionally, members of CBN meet at the parish level to further develop relationships.

"CBN is one of the most powerful tools that a business can utilize to reach out to the Catholic community," said Craig Franco, CBN president. "There is something special about developing friendships with business leaders under a spirit of shared faith."

Annually, CBN produces a directory of all members that is distributed throughout the Catholic community.

Finally, CBN works closely with the Most Rev. John Wester to find meaningful ways the business community can support the overall goals of the diocese.

CBN is directed by a three-member Board and five officers.

The next CBN quarterly dinner is Nov. 30 from 6-9 p.m. at The Aquarium in Sandy. Guest speaker is Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon. Dinner will be provided by Texas Roadhouse. Anyone interested in attending the meeting should RSVP by Nov. 27 to rarecoin@pacificrarities.com. Guests or prospective members are welcome for a $25 fee.

All new members who join during the November will be included in the 2010 Directory. Contact Andrew Rakowski at Andrew.e.rakowski@ampf.com for membership information and an application. For more information on CBN, visit www.thecatholicbusinessnetwork.org.
