The Filipino Catholic community in Utah celebrated the Santacruzan, a Marian cultural tradition, on May 15. Prior to the Mass at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, members of the community processed into the church with several representations of Mary: Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of the Rosary, Our Lady of Manaoag and Our Lady of Antipolo. These images were placed on a table in front of the cathedral’s statue of Our Lady of Lourdes, which traditionally is moved in front of the altar during May, the month of Mary.
