As we mark this year’s National Catholic Schools Week, we reflect with gratitude and joy on the theme, “United in Faith and Community.” This theme beautifully captures the essence of our Utah Catholic Schools, which have for nearly 150 years nurtured faith, love and academic excellence in the lives of our students.

Catholic schools are more than places of learning; they are vibrant communities where faith takes root and flourishes in an environment of love. It is in these communities that students experience the Gospel lived out daily. Faith developed in an atmosphere of love and care plants the seeds for a lifetime of discipleship. This faith is not just taught but witnessed – through the dedication of our teachers, the encouragement of peers, and the steadfast support of parents.

When students are surrounded by love, kindness and faith-filled role models, they grow into individuals who make a profound impact on the world around them. For generations, our Utah Catholic Schools have partnered with parents to educate students who have gone on to serve and lead in their communities, guided by their faith and values.

We invite families who are seeking a faith-filled, academically rigorous education for their children to consider enrolling in one of our Utah Catholic Schools. Our doors are open to all who desire an environment where faith and learning thrive together. Additionally, we encourage families to explore the Utah Fits All Scholarship, a generous $8,000 scholarship that can be applied to tuition at any of our Catholic schools. To learn more, please visit the official scholarship website at ufascholarship.com.

As we celebrate National Catholic Schools Week, let us remain united in faith and community, continuing to foster environments where students experience the love of Christ and are inspired to share it with the world. May God bless our schools, students, teachers and families as we work together to form the faithful leaders of tomorrow.

With blessings and gratitude,

Mark Longe
