Celia Solis Tapia, 80, died June 20, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Quezon City, Philippines with her son Paul John, daughter Maria Kristina and some cousins by her side.
Celia was diagnosed with cancer in September 2024 and was confined in the hospital for the last three months until her death. A few hours before her last breath, Celia received the Sacrament of Anointing from her two brothers, Bishop Oscar A. Solis and Father Ronald A. Solis, S.C.; given a sendoff prayer of the rosary and final commendation of her soul into the saving hands of our loving God with sister Anggie Pacubas, other relatives and friends.
She is survived by her husband Antonio “Tony” Tapia (56 years married), son John Paul and daughter Ma. Kristina Santos, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
The family kindly asks for your prayers for the eternal repose of her soul and for the family during this time of grief, but hopeful of God’s promise of eternal happiness, rest and peace.
The Mass of Resurrection was celebrated June 24, 2025 at St. Joseph Cathedral, San Jose City, Nueva Ecija, the Philippines. Inurement followed immediately after at the cathedral crypt.
