SALT LAKE CITY — Chris Blodgett, 49, passed away July 20, 2013. Blodgett was born July 25, 1963 in Salt Lake City, to Roger and Pat Blodgett. He married Kathleen on Aug. 17, 2002 in the Cathedral of the Madeleine. He often told the story of how they met while handing out sack lunches to the homeless as part of the Cathedral’s Good Samaritan program. He spent 17 years as a paraprofessional with the Salt Lake school system, working with the severely disabled. He volunteered with various charitable fundraisers including the annual Carmelite Fair and American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Blodgett is survived by wife Kathleen; parents Roger and Pat; brother Jeff (Laurie and children) and sister Kim (Steve and children) Shemwell; and grandmother Elizabeth Nagy. A funeral Mass was celebrated at our Lady of Mount Carmel Chapel.
