Council Sunday

The Diocesan Council of Catholic Women celebrated Council Sunday Oct. 18. The day recognizes the accomplishments and contributions of the DCCW and the women’s groups that are affiliated with the National Council of Catholic Women. On that day at St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Helper, the DCCW council displayed posters of their activities and handed the women and girls a ribbon, holy card and a blessed miraculous medal upon their entrance to Mass. They also collected donations for their local food bank. During Mass, Father Albert Kileo, pastor, thanked the DCCW women for their service and dedication; he also encouraged women to join the council.
