SOUTH OGDEN — Delfa Pardini, 88, died July 24, at Manor Care Nursing Center. Pardini was born Nov. 2, 1920, in Torree del Lago Puccini, Italy, to Gino and Beppa Manfredi Orsi. She came to America in 1933. On Jan. 16, 1937, she married Anthony "Tony" Pardini in Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Ogden. They raised three daughters. They were married 70 years before Tony died. She worked at Ardens Ladies Clothing Store in downtown Ogden and from there worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for many years. She was a charter member of Saint James Parish, and was very active as a eucharistic minister, parish council member, choir member, religious education teacher for 30 years, and participated in many activities in the parish receiving many accolades. She loved to bowl, fish, and knit and crochet. Cooking Italian food was her biggest hobby. She is survived by three daughters, Anna Marie (Lewis) Atkinson, Rock Springs, Wyo.; Antonette (Lester) Vaccari, San Bruno, Calif.; Angelina (Jerry) Alkema, Colo., and Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren; and two grerat-grandchildren; sister Marta Martinelli, Millbrae, Calif.; sister-in-law, Laura Brinkman, Roy; nieces, Barbara Burdick, Salt Lake City, and Lisa Martinelli, Furr, Calif.; nephew, Michael Martinelli, Calif.; and many friends. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint James Catholic Church. Interment was in Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
