Delphine Marie Kleman

SALT LAKE CITY — Delphine M. Kleman, 86, passed away Dec. 14, 2013.

Kleman was born in Rowena, Texas on July 4, 1927, the daughter of Ben and Alma Eggemeyer. She graduated in March of 1948 from Seton School of Nursing and was a nurse for 46 years, serving in many capacities — in doctors’ offices, hospitals, and as school nurse. She married LaVern Kleman in 1950 and they divorced in 1978. She was a member of Saint John the Baptist Parish and served in numerous capacities within the church and local organizations to help the underprivileged.

Kleman is survived by her son, Bill (Marilyn); daughter, Sister Mary of the Angels (Jean); a granddaughter; a great-grandson; and sister Mary Ann Book.

Kleman was preceded in death by brothers Hubert, Victor, Arthur and Erwin; and sisters, Olga, Benita and Angela.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Joseph Church in Rowena, Texas; a memorial service will be held Jan. 7 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Draper.
