Diane Badovinatz Roney was born December 20, 1948 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to George and Ruby Badovinatz. She passed away at her home on October 3, 2022.
Diane is survived by her three stepchildren: Mary Roney of Portland, Oregon, Michael (Wendy) Roney of Salt Lake City, and Annie Roney (Rob Dolezal) of Tiburon, California; four grandchildren, Andrei and Milan Dolezal, and Kate and Erin Roney; her sisters Nancy Hammer and Georgean (Beanie) Rossman; nieces and nephews Debbie Wall, Steve Hammer, Robbie Rossman, Michael Badovinatz and Eric Badovinatz; great-nieces and -nephews Brandon, Tyler, Alexis Wall and Schyler Shoenfeld, Austin, Ashton and Chelsea Hammer.
Diane is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Don J. Roney, her parents George and Ruby Badovinatz, brother George Badovinatz and niece Christian Rossman.
Diane had limitless love for her husband Don and the life they co-created. They delighted in playing golf with their friends, soaking up the sun by the pool and hosting parties at their winter home in Arizona. Diane had a passion for travel and worked for many years as a travel cruise specialist which allowed her and Don, and her many happy clients, to cruise to places like the Panama Canal and the Caribbean Islands. Diane deeply loved her stepchildren and grandchildren, who called her Baba, and was proud of each of them.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at Starks Funeral Parlor on October 14. A burial followed at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. To share memories with the family, please visit www.starksfuneral.com.
